U.S. Ambassador to China to Speak On Globalization at NYU, April 28

- WHO & WHAT: At a time when China is very much in the news, Clark T. Randt, Jr., the longest-serving United States’ Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China (2001 - present), will speak on “The United States and China in an Era of Globalization” at a New York University event sponsored by NYU’s China House and the U.S.-Asia Law Institute at the NYU School of Law. Ambassador Randt’s remarks will be followed by a Q & A session.

NYU’s China House: NYU’s China House is an academic forum on contemporary China. China House encourages collaboration among NYU scholars on research related to China, hosts conferences and seminars, sponsors visiting scholars, offers scholarships to doctoral students, provides grants and fellowships, offers short-term cultural programming, and sponsors talks and lectures.
U.S.-Asia Law Institute: Formally established in 2006 by renowned scholar of Chinese law and NYU law professor, Jerome A. Cohen, the U.S.-Asia Law Institute serves as a resource and partner to various Asian countries as they reform and further develop their legal systems and institutions. As one of the United States’ preeminent centers for the study of Asian law, the Institute also works to improve the understanding of Asian legal systems by lawyers, academics, policy makers, and the public.
