New York University’s Department of Hebrew and Judaic Studies will host the Benita and Sigmund Stahl Lecture Program in Jewish Studies, April 9, 14, and 16 at venues on the NYU campus. The lectures, which all begin at 5:30 p.m., are free and open to the public. Call 212.998.8981 or email gsas.hebrewjudaic@nyu.edu to RSVP.
All three lectures will be delivered by Ohio State University Professor Michael Swartz, whose published works include Scholastic Magic: Ritual and Revelation in Early Jewish Mysticism (1996) and Mystical Prayer in Ancient Judaism: An Analysis of Ma’aseh Merkavah (1992).
