Hollywood Director and Tisch School Alumnus Brett Ratner to Present A Lifetime Achievement Award to Film Star Jackie Chan
New York University (NYU) Tisch School of the Arts Asia Campus will celebrate its opening with a spectacular outdoor celebration at the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore. The evening event will include a red carpet arrival for guests, cocktail reception, dinner, award presentation-featuring the billion-dollar Hollywood film director and Tisch School Dean’s Council member and alumnus Brett Ratner presenting the School’s first lifetime achievement award to international film star and humanitarian Jackie Chan-and disco party.
Other notable names in attendance will be: Mary Schmidt Campbell, dean of the Tisch School of the Arts and chairman of the board of directors of Tisch Asia; Pari Shirazi, vice dean of the Tisch School of the Arts and president of Tisch Asia; Diane C. Yu, chief of staff and deputy to the president of New York University; Jennie Chua, chairman, Singapore Film Commission, and president and chief executive officer, The Ascott Group, Ltd.; and Eric Khoo, filmmaker; among others.
SHOT #1 Arriving guests - 7:00 to 7:45 p.m. Mandarin Oriental, 5 Raffles Blvd., Marina Square, 5th floor pool area. Red carpet with ropes and stanchions set up.
SHOT #2 Performances and presentation of Lifetime Achievement Award - 8:15 to 9 p.m. Photographers will be positioned in a special area in the dining room behind ropes and stanchions.
