NYU today announced that Gary Parker has been named the new Director of Government and Community Affairs. He will be responsible for continuing to strengthen and develop NYU’s relationships with State and City officials as well as the local community.

“Given Gary’s history of bringing people of varied views together and positively focusing them toward long-lasting and sustainable alliances, I am delighted to have him back at NYU, as we take this important turn in the University’s history,” said Alicia D. Hurley, Ph.D, NYU Associate Vice President for Government and Community Affairs. “The University is taking significant steps to better align itself and its needs with the broader neighborhood and community. Gary is a perfect addition to the team that is looking to achieve the ultimate goal of becoming more engaged with our community and neighbors.”
