Primary oversight of:
As Assistant Provost, Barnett W. Hamberger oversees the Office of Academic Program Review. This includes the review of new programs, serving as liaison to the New York State Education Department on academic matters and to the University’s regional accrediting agency, the Middle States Association. In the latter capacity, he has been the coordinator of New York University’s accreditation self-studies. Mr. Hamberger also administers NYU’s compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), which governs access to student records, and oversees the office which monitors academics and eligibility for the University’s athletics program. He also serves as NYU’s voting delegate to the University Athletic Association.
Mr. Hamberger received his bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and M.A. from New York University.
