The New York-based "Friends of Yeronisos" was founded in 1992; this
dedicated group of more than 300 enthusiasts has collected funds to
sustain our work over the past four seasons. Private
donations, which are fully tax-deductible, underwrite a very substantial
portion of the project's budget. We welcome your participation in this
effort.
The "Friends of Yeronisos" gather once a year at the Explorers Club in
New York City for the Annual Dig Party, a fundraising event complete with
an illustrated presentation of the results of the summer dig season, live
auction, Cypriot food, wine and music. Children of Yeronisos friends
are invited each spring for a tour of the Metropolitan Museum of Art
Greek and Roman Galleries, guided by Professor Connelly. Friends receive
the Yeronisos Newsletter, invitations to archaeological lectures and
other events, and are encouraged to visit Yeronisos during the
excavation season.
We are planning to dedicate our our new dig house this June with a
symposium and celebration; Friends who wish to join us for the event
should contact us now to make travel plans.
Please join the Friends of Yeronisos with your fully tax-deductible
contribution made payable to NYU Yeronisos Island Expedition and directed
