courses aimed at challenging current engineering practice by focusing
in specific social conditions.
Product Design is by definition a radically interdisciplinary
activity: ? program restructures traditional engineering and Industrial
Design influences on product design; ? re engineers accountability
structure of products; methods of evaluation and incentive/accountability/responsibility
structures ? reconstructs disciplinary input; assessment oriented
toward outside validation; open studio and crit sessions; ? novel
evaluative techniques to redefine product value; ? produces students
who can structure whole product process, and be accountability to
it ongoing social effect and product effectiveness.
