SynThesis: EAS 996
SynThesis is a full year, project-based graduate course in product design and business development. Students will work in entrepreneurial teams to research, develop and prototype a viable, real-world product, in addition to writing a business plan for marketing the product and funding its development. The teams will consist of exceptional Engineering and Computer Science students, drawn primarily from the Select Program in Engineering, as well as School of Management students. The entrepreneurial teams will work independently -- with the guidance of industry mentors, faculty coaches and a user community -- to develop their prototypes, business plans and final products. The teams will be assessed by a jury composed of industry representatives, venture capitalists, product development experts and faculty.
