The following article appeared in The Freeman:  Ideas on Liberty (Volume 55, Number 1, January-February 2005): 12-15.  This essay is derived from a more comprehensive paper written for the forthcoming anthology, Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged: A Philosophical and Literary Companion, edited by Edward W. Younkins.  The essay can also be found in a 2006 collection, published by the Liberty Institute, in India, entitled, Ayn Rand at 100, as well as a 2018 e-book published by the Foundation for Economic Education, entitled Discovering Ayn Rand: Modern Essays on Her Life and Ideas. A Swedish translation of the essay ("Och varlden skalvde - Ett manifest for en ny radikalism") also appears in the magazine Voltaire (March-April 2007):  18-22.
