Thank you for visiting our website. Our group, led by Professor David I. Schuster, specializes in the synthesis of nanoscale electron donor-acceptor systems with potential applications in solar energy storage devices. We are particularly interested in systems that have porphyrin and C60 moieties covalently or mechanically linked, such as in rotaxanes and catenanes. Some of our work also involves the synthesis of fullerene derivatives that are expected to act as inhibitors of HIV proteases.

We are located in the Waverly and Brown Buildings at New York University.
