The MST Standards |
|||
Over the last ten years, national, state and local education departments have been developing new learning standards. One of the first areas addressed was mathematics, science and technology (MST) standards. These were developed in conjunction with many organizations and institutions committed to improving MST education such as the National Science Foundation (NSF), the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM). These standards seek to raise the level of critical thinking through open-ended, inquiry-based learning that integrates math, science and technology.
