Independent Site Visits 10th Grade:

 

 

Rose Center For Earth and Space.
 Compare the Earth to other planets.


 
Objectives:

To learn about the Earth's position in space and how this effects the characteristics of planet earth. 

To discover the properties of the stars and the planets of the solar system.
Prerequisites:

1) Knowledge of the solar system.
2) Knowledge about the Earth's characteristic and how they are effected by It's
location in space. 
Visit:

1) Go through the exhibit and complete the associated handouts.
2) Make note of the similarities and differences between the Earth and the other planets.
3) Make a list of the planets you think are similar to the Earth.
Post Visit & Homework:
Based of the information obtained from the trip, hypothesize about which planet you could live on if the Earth was destroyed. State why you think this planet would be capable of sustaining life. Be very detailed in your explanation.
