| Culture Notes | Grows on "wet plates" (3-5 drops of E. coli culture in 4 ml phosphate buffer (50 mM KH2PO4/K2HPO4, pH 7.3) on 1% pure agar with 5 mg/ml cholesterol. Never use needles in transfer. Sensitive to pH and dessication. Males not seen. |
