| Culture Notes | Axenic: 3% yeast extract, 3% soy peptone, 0.5 mg/ml hemoglobin. Monoxenic: nutrient agar with 5 mg/ml cholesterol, seeded with E. coli. Hermaphroditic with males only in very crowded plates. Males do not seem to mate. Approximately 3 day generation time. |
