Strain Isolation Pierre Baujard, January, 1989
Nebe, Senegal. Sahel zone, 5 km south of Diourbel along road Diourbel-Gossas, Central Senegal.
Soil.
Culture Notes Axenic: 3% yeast extract, 3% soy peptone, 0.5 mg/ml hemoglobin.
Monoxenic: E. coli on nutrient agar with 5 mg/ml cholesterol, 1 mM CaCl2,
1 mM MgSO4, 25 mM potassium phosphate buffer (pH 6). Sent to David Fitch
by Gaatan Borgonie in February, 1992. Parthenogenic with rare males.

Cryopreservation Fails to survive freezing with C. elegans protocol.
Can be stored 6-12 months on slowly dessicated plates.
