| Culture Notes | Grows on OP50 at 16-24C. Originally obtained from N. D. Levine, Urbana, Illinois (where it was cultured on nutrient agar) by Walter Sudhaus, Berlin, Germany (where it was cultured on agar with pieces of raw meat). Starved L3 (dauer?) juveniles (which are thermotactic) will arrest development for at least a few days. Culture obtained from Walter Sudhaus April 3, 1992. 18s rDNa sequenced (Fitch et al., 1995). |
