Objective
I seek to understand how listeners perceive musical structures in real time and how those perceptions shape analytical and cognitive responses to music. My research primarily focuses on modeling high-level aspects of music perception such as harmony and tension. I am also interested in exploring how computational models of music perception are transferable to other domains, in particular, how models of music listening can inform cross-modal theories of sensory information integration.
