Staffed by psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, and advanced trainees in these professions, UCS offers services that are confidential, free, and available to full-time and part-time students.

In addition to their central location at 726 Broadway, UCS has satellite offices as follows:

Silver Center for Arts and Science, 100 Washington Square East, Room 920, for students in the College of Arts and Science
Pless Hall, 82 Washington Square East, 2nd Floor, for students in the Steinhardt School of Education
721 Broadway, 12th Floor, for students in the Tisch School of the Arts
Shimkin Hall, 50 West Fourth Street, Room 326, for students in the General Studies Program, School of Continuing and Professional Studies

UCS provides short-term, individual counseling. Students who need or desire longer-term therapy can receive referrals to private therapists or low-fee community clinics. UCS also offers group counseling on topics such as relationship issues, eating disorders, and stress management.
