Parent's Guide

WELCOME NYU PARENTS!
Going to college is an exciting time for students and parents.  As a parent, you can support your student by being involved and supportive, and empowering him to make new friends, stay on top of her coursework, and utilize University resources.  You can also provide support by directing your student to a variety of University resources when she needs them, and encouraging him to reach out for assistance.  This website will provide you with a wide variety of resources to help make your student's experience at NYU successful, and at the same time help you be an informed parent.

PREPARING TO ARRIVE
Preparing for your student's first days at NYU is an exciting but sometimes overwhelming process.  Throughout the summer, students will receive a variety of mailings from their school or department, the university, housing (if living on campus) and the health center. These mailings will include dates and information on school orientations, registration, advisement, health information forms, Welcome Week programs, commuter and residential programming, and a variety of other details to help your student prepare for their arrival in August.
