Student Concerns & Issues
Students have their concerns and raise issues that are brought to the attention of representatives in NYU student government. -
Student Councils
Each of NYU’s 15 schools, graduate and undergraduate, house a student council that addresses specifically school-related student concerns. -
UCSL
The Student Senate Council’s principal committee, the University Committee on Student Life, is comprised of every student council president and the Student Senators Council.
Other SSC committees deal with specific aspects of student life. Senators participate in these committees and chair them. -
SSC
University-wide issues are sent to the Student Senate Council. The SSC is comprised of a Senator from every school and 7 At-Large Senators.
The principal job of the SSC is the annual Budget Recommendations, written by committees in the Spring semester. -
University Senate
Comprised of the Student Senators Council, the Faculty Senators Council, and the Administrative Management Council along with senior members of the NYU Administration.
The University Senate discusses and votes on University wide issues and sends up its decisions to the Board of Trustees.
