Winterhur Fellowships 2000-2001 Winterhur Museum, Garden, and Library invites applications for research in the library and museum collections. Winterhur offers opportunities for advanced interdisciplinary study of America's artistic, cultural, social, and intellectual history. Applications are welcome from professors, curators, doctoral students, and independent scholars in the following fields: anthropology, archaeology, architectural history, art history, cultural history, decorative arts, African American material culture, folklore, historic preservation, history of technology, material culture, social history, urban studies, and women's history. Three categories of fellowships are available: National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowships: Available to scholars pursuing advanced research for four to twelve month's work. Stipends up to $30,000 per annually. Winterhur Research Fellowships: Available to doctoral candidates and academic, museum, and independent scholars to support research from one to three months. Stipends are $1,500 per month. Lois McNeil Dissertation Fellowships: Available to doctoral candidates to to support dissertation research for one or two semesters. Stipends are $6,500 per semester.
