Woodrow Wilson Foundation--Dissertation Grants in Women's Health Dissertation Grants in Women's Health--The purpose of the grant is to encourage original and significant research on issues related to women's health. This grant is interested in the implications of research for the understanding of women's lives and its significance for public policy or treatment. Eligibility: Students in doctoral programs such as nursing, public health, anthropology, history, sociology, psychology, and social work, who have completed all predissertation requirements at graduate schools in the U.S. Candidates must have completed all predissertation requirements by October 29, 1999, expect to complete their dissertations by the summer of 2001, and have at least six months work left to complete. Award: Winners will receive grants of $2,000 to be used for expenses connected with the dissertation. These may include, but are not limited to, travel, books, microfilming, taping, and computer services. Ten awards will be made with funds from Johnson & Johnson and winners will be announced in February, 2000.
