Whitney (Helen Hay) Foundation--Postdoctoral Research Fellowships Fellowships: supports early postdoctoral research training in all basic biomedical sciences. Candidates living in North America who hold, or are in the final stages of obtaining, the PhD, MD or equivalent degree. Eligibility: US citizenship is not required. But, fellowships to non-citizens are tenable only in the United States. US citizens may train abroad. The Foundation expects the fellowship to be taken at an academic laboratory other than the one in which the fellow received his/her predoctoral or initial postdoctoral training. Stipend: $33,000 for the first year, $35,000 the second year, and $37,000 by the third year; a research allowance of $2,000; plus funds for travel to the fellowship location.
