President's Commission on White House Fellowships--White House Fellows Program The purpose of the White House Fellows Program is to provide gifted and highly motivated young Americans with some first-hand experience in the process of governing the Nation and a sense of personal involvement in the leadership of society. Work Assignments: Fellows are assigned to the staff of the Executive Office of the President and to Cabinet-level departments such as State, Defense, Treasury, and Labor. They also work in smaller, specialized agencies - the FBI, NASA, CIA and the Small Business Administration. Eligibility: The Fellows Program is open to US citizens only. There are no formal educational requirements or age restrictions. Salary: Salary is paid at the federal pay grade of GS-14.
