Von Humboldt-Stiftung (Alexander) Foundation--Research Fellowships Humboldt Research Fellowships for Foreign Scholars: are granted to highly qualified scholars holding a doctorate and not yet having reached the age of 40, enabling them to carry out research projects of their own choice at research institutes in Germany. Up to 500 research fellowships are granted annually. Eligibility: An academic degree comparable to a doctorate (Ph.D., C.Sc. or equivalent), high academic qualification, academic publications, a good command of the German language or at least a good command of English. Period: 6-12 months Amount: Monthly stipends will vary, between DM 3,400 and DM 4,200 net; additional support is available for travel, accompanying spouse, and language courses.
