University of Manchester--Research Studentships

Research Studentships are available for postgraduate research
    toward the Ph.D. in the fields of the arts; education;
    social sciences; physical science; engineering; medicine;
    and biological sciences.

Period: Awards are initially for one year, but may be renewed
    for up to two additional years.

Stipend: Approximately 5,500 pounds per year and/or payment of
    UK tuition fees.

Deadline: April 28. Overseas students are advised to apply 
    simultaneously for an Overseas Research Studentship Award
    which covers the difference between tuition fee for home
    and overseas graduate students. Deadline for ORS award is
    April 21.
