Social Science Research Council--Eastern Europe: Language Training Grants

The awards are intended for graduate students and postdoctoral
scholars who will use East European languages in their academic
or professional careers. 

Eligibility: Applications will be accepted from U.S. citizens and
    permanent residents with a four-year college degree. 

Award: There are two types of awards available: (1) Grants of 
    $2,000 each will be offered for the second-year study of any
    East European language (except the languages of the 
    Commonwealth of Independent States) in the U.S. (2) Grants 
    of $2,500 each will be offered for intermediate or advanced
    study of these languages in Eastern Europe.
