Stonewall Jackson House--The 2000 Edmund N. Snyder Graduate Fellowship The Stonewall Jackson House, the antebellum home of Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson, is a National Historic Site and an historic house museum. The house and garden are open to the public daily. In addition, to the daily tours of the site, the Jackson House sponsors educational programs, research opportunities and publications. The Graduate Fellowships at the Stonewall Jackson House are designed to foster research on the life and times of T.J. "Stonewall" Jackson and the social history of the community and period in which he lived. Also, the fellowships are designed to enhance the interpretation of the Stonewall Jackson House through research, documentation of collections, exhibit preparation and development of educational programs. Lastly, the fellowships will provide professional training and experience in museum administration and collections management. The fellowships are not designed to provide dissertation support. Eligibility: Applicants must be in an M.A. or Ph.D. program in the fields of American History, American Studies, Museum Studies or Material culture. Students may be eligible for academic credit by arrangement with their home institutions.
