Sigma Delta Epsilon Graduate Women in Science, Inc.--Fellowships

  1. Eloise Gerry Fellowship: For women in biological and chemical 
     sciences.  

  2. SDE Fellowships: Are open to applicants in all the natural sciences
     (physical, environmental, mathematical, computer, life sciences,
     anthropology, psychology and statistics). 

  3. Eli Lilly Travel Award: Is restricted to women in the Pharmaceutical
     field.

  4. Vessa Notchev Fellowships: Are open to to applicants in all the
     natural sciences (physical, environmental, mathematical, computer,
     life sciences, anthropology, psychology and statistics). The 
     fellowship is restricted to outstanding members of SDE/GWIS.

Eligibility: Predoctoral and postdoctoral women in the sciences.
     Applicants can only apply for one fellowship.

Amount: Funding varies from $1,000 to $4,000 and are only available for  
     research and research support, not tuition or travel (with the      
     exception of the Eli Lilly Travel Award).  

Deadline: December 1, 2000. A fellowship application can be obtained 
     by sending a self addressed stamped (55 cents) business size
     envelope to the National headquarters, or by downloading from the
     Web.
