Sibley (Mary Isabel) Fellowship  
   sponsored by the Phi Beta Kappa Society

Doctoral and postdoctoral fellowships: in odd years the fellowship
     is for the study of Greek language and literatures, history,
     or archaeology. In even years the fellowship is for the study
     of French language and literatures.
		
Eligibility: Unmarried women between the ages of 25 and 35 who have
     demonstrated the ability to carry on original research, who
     are at the dissertation or post-doctorate level and plan to 
     devote full-time work to research during the fellowship year 
     that begins September 1, 2001. Eligibility is not limited to
     members of Phi Beta Kappa. 

Amount: $20,000 

Deadline: January 15, 2001
