Scripps Howard Foundation Awards in Journalism  

The Scripps Howard Foundation awarded $261,000 in scholarships to 109
students studying print and broadcast journalism for the 1997-98 academic
school year. Only those recipients are eligible for scholarships for the
school year 1998-99. No new applications are being accepted. 

Scholarships are also available through the Roy W. Howard College 
Reporting competition at Indiana University, the Robert P. Scripps Graphic
Arts program at the Rochester Institute of Technology and the Ted Scripps
competition at the University of Nevada, Reno. Internships are available
at selected schools and scholarships are available to those interns.
