Rotary International Foundation - Cultural Ambassadorial Scholarship

This scholarship is for three or six months of intensive language training
and cultural immersion at a study institution assigned by the Rotary
Foundation Trustees. Applications will be considered for candidates
interested in studying Arabic, English, French, German, Hebrew, Italian,
Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish
Swahili and Swedish.

Eligibility: Applicants must have completed at least two years of
   university or college course work. Applicants are expected to have
   completed at least one year of college-level course work or its
   equivalent of the proposed language of study. All applicants must be  
   citizens of a country in which there is a Rotary club. Employees and
   relatives of Rotary staff members are ineligible.

Award: Funding is provided to cover round-trip transportation, tuition
   and fees for language training, and homestay expenses. Funding will
   not exceed US $12,000 or its equivalent for a three month scholarship
   and US $19,000 or its equivalent for a six month scholarship.

Deadline: Dates are set by local Rotary Clubs.
