Palestinian American Research Center--Research Fellowships The Palestinian American Research Center (PARC) was formed in 1998 to meet the need for an American institution that promotes Palestinian studies and exchange among scholars interested in Palestinian affairs. The competition is for post-doctoral and/or doctoral research fellowships in Palestinian studies. Field of study and historical time period are open. Eligibility: Applicants must be senior (post-doctoral) scholars or full-time graduate students enrolled in a recognized degree program. Graduate students must have fulfilled all preliminary requirements for the doctorate degree except the dissertation by the time research commences. Period: Fellowships will be granted for tenures of typically three to four months. Award: Amounts range from $4,500 to $6,000. Up to $1,000 may also be provided for travel expenses depending upon circumstances. Deadline: Applications must be received by January 15, 2001.
