Organization of American Historians--Lerner-Scott Prize

A prize and certificate is awarded annually for the best doctoral
dissertation in U.S. women's history. Awards are given for
doctoral dissertations completed during the previous academic year.

Award: $1,000

Deadline: November 1. Each applicant must obtain a letter of support
     from a faculty member at the degree-granting institution, along
     with an abstract, table of contents, and sample chapter from the
     dissertation.

* Finalists will be asked to submit a complete copy of the dissertation
  to each committee member at a later date.
