The New York State Senate Graduate/Post Graduate Fellowships There are three distinct programs for eligible graduate students and recent graduates at the Masters and doctoral degree levels: 1.) Legislative Fellows Program 2.) Richard J. Roth Journalism Fellowship 3.) Richard A. Wiebe Public Service Fellowship A range of academic majors are encouraged to apply. Each applicant must be a United States citizen and, a New York citizen. (Applicants who are citizens of another state, must be full-time matriculating graduate students at accredited universities and in approved disciplines on New York campuses.) The fellowships are full-time, working fellowships in Albany, New York. Fellows MUST live in Albany, New York during the fellowship period. Eligibility: Eligible applicants are currently enrolled, full-time graduate students pursuing advanced degrees in accredited programs, about to complete at least two consecutive full-time semesters of graduate study in accredited programs at the time of application, and not graduated more than 30 days prior to the deadline. If selected, concurrent class work is prohibited during the fellowship year. Fellowship year: September 16, 1999 through July 19, 2000. Stipend: Fellowship participants will receive $25,000. Each stipend is a Grant-in-Award-for-Study-Purposes paid in bi-weekly installments over the term of the fellowship year.
