New York State Regents Health Care Scholarships in Medicine and Dentistry Minority Scholarships: for first-year and continuing medical or dental students from minority groups traditionally underrepresented in such fields. The purpose of the program is to supply dentists and physicians to Regents-approved New York State institutions or regions lacking health-care providers. Eligibility: Candidates must be enrolled in accredited programs and belong to minority groups, including those who are financially disadvantaged. Alumni from New York State- supported programs (SEEK, HEOP, College Discovery, or EOP) also qualify to apply.
