National Research Service Award--Individual Predoctoral Fellowships National Research Service Award (NRSA) Individual Predoctoral Fellowships for Minority Students: for well-qualified students from minority groups found to be underrepresented in the biomedical and behavioral sciences. The intent of the fellowship is to encourage students to seek graduate degrees and thus further the goal of increasing the number of minority scientists who are prepared to pursue careers in biomedical and behavioral research. Eligibility: U.S. citizens, noncitizen nationals of the U.S. or permanent residents. Candidates must be either registered in a PhD, MD/PhD, or a joint research/professional doctorate graduate program or have been admitted to and will attend such graduate programs. Period: up to 5 years of support. Award: An annual stipend for living expenses; a tuition and fee allowance; and an annual institutional allowance of $2,000.
