National Institutes of Mental Health-Fellowships in Alcohol Abuse National Research Service Award Individual Predoctoral Fellowship in Alcohol Abuse, Drug Abuse, and Mental Health: This program provides support for research training leading to the Ph.D., or similar research doctorate degree in specified areas of behavioral, biomedical, or social science to ensure that there will be adequate numbers of qualified scientists to meet the nations' alcohol, drug abuse, and mental health research needs. Eligibility: Applicants must be citizens of the US or permanent residents. Applicants must be enrolled in a research doctorate degree program and must be accepted by a sponsor who will supervise the training and research experience. Stipend: An annual stipend plus an allowance of $3,000 per fellow per 12-month period will be provided to the institution. A maximum of 5 years of support is available.
