InterUniversity Fellowship Program in Jewish Studies Fellowship: For graduate students in Jewish Studies who wish to spend a year working in the Department of Jewish Studies at one of Israel's universities. Students in the Program can take courses, do research in Israel's Judaic libraries, and have personal contact with Israeli scholars in the field. Each Fellow's course of study will be designed to meet his/her needs. In addition, fellows attend an ongoing seminar program coordinated by an on-site mentor. Eligibility: All nationalities accepted. Applicants can be earning their degrees in any discipline, but a primary focus must be placed on some aspect of Jewish life. Fellows must normally have enough fluency in Hebrew to enable them to participate in graduate courses and seminars taught in Hebrew. Fellows who are not yet at that level are expected to attend an intensive Hebrew language. Period: Fellows are expected to spend the full academic year in Israel. Fellowships are renewable upon consideration. Amount: A stipend of $4500 for doctoral students and $2500 for masters students. All recipients benefit from reduced tuition rates at Israeli universities.
