International Research and Exchanges Board

On-Site Lanuage Training: for scholars at all levels of graduate
     study and full professors who seek proficiency in the
     languages (excluding Russian) of Central and Eastern Europe,
     and Eurasia, for the purpose of research or teaching. 

Eligibility: applicants must be US citizens. Must have begun
     formal study of the host-country language.

Period: 2-12 months

Amount: round trip airfare and visa fees, dollar stipend, room
     and board, language training fees, support for accompanying
     family. Provisions may vary by country.

Deadline: November 1 (annually)
