Inter-American Press Association Scholarship Fund, Inc. Scholarships are awarded to newspaper or magazine reporters, between 21 and 35 years of age, who have a journalism degree or a minimum of five years in print media. Eligibility and Conditions: Natives of the U.S. and Canada would take three college courses, write articles, and work on a research project in Latin America. Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is a must. Natives of Latin America and the Caribbean would study print journalism for two semesters at a Canadian or U.S. university. Fluency in French or English is a must (a minimum TOEFL score of 550 points is required). Period: A period of nine months.
