Institute for the Study of World Politics--Minority Fellowships Dorothy Danforth Compton Fellowships, for support of M.A. or Ph.D. work by African American, Hispanic American, and Native American students preparing for careers in world affairs. Eligibility: U.S. citizenship required. Applicants must be pursuing degrees from U.S. institutions. Furthermore, applicants for these awards who are at the Ph.D. dissertation level will automatically be considered for the Doctoral Dissertation Fellowships. Period: The fellowship will cover a period from one to nine months, commencing no earlier than July 1, 1999 and no later than April 1, 2000. Deadline March 16, 1999.
