Ford Foundation--Program Assistantships The Program Assistantship is a two-year professional experience program for outstanding individuals interested in pursing careers in the nonprofit or philanthropic sectors. Program Assistants will work in programs focusing on human development and reproductive health; community and resource development; economic development; human rights and international cooperation; education, knowledge, and religion; and media, arts and culture. The Program Assistantship (PA) is a full-time, paid position at the Ford Foundation's headquarters in New York City. Eligibility: Master's or law degree conferred no earlier than September 1996 and no later than August 1998. Demonstrated academic and/or work experience in the Program Areas. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Period: PA's are appointed for one year, renewable for a second year on the basis of performance. The starting date of the Program is September 8, 1998. Salary: Program Assistants will receive an annual salary of $35,000 plus the following benefits: medical and dental insurance, vacation, sick leave, and a savings plan.
