Epilepsy Foundation of America-International Clinical Research Fellowship William G. Lennox International Clinical Research Fellowship The William G. Lennox International Clinical Research Fellowship promotes the exchange of medical and scientific information and expertise on epilepsy between the United States and other countries. Emphasis is placed on individuals who will be training to do research in epilepsy rather than use epilepsy as a tool in their research in other fields. The purpose of the EFA Research Fellowships program is to develop excellent academic clinicians to teach patient care of persons with epilepsy and advance the knowledge about epilepsy. The purpose of the international component of this program is to provide an opportunity for individuals from the U.S. and from other countries to have the same opportunity at a teaching center outside their countries. It is the EFA belief that this program will help foster the development of research in epilepsy and promote the much-needed exchange of information about epilepsy. Eligibility: Applicants who plan to study epilepsy as a human disorder. Applicants who will have received their M.D. or D.O. (or foreign equivalent) degree by the time the Fellowship commences, have completed residency training in neurology, neurosurgery, pediatrics, internal medicine or pyschiatry and desire additional postdoctoral clinical research experience may apply. Stipend: $40,000 for one year training at an approvable facility where there is an ongoing clinical epilepsy research program.
