Educational Testing Service-- NAEP 199-2000 Visiting Scholar Program National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) 1999-2000 Visiting Scholar Program A scholar will be selected to conduct independent research, using the NAEP database, with access to senior NAEP and other ETS staff in Princeton, New Jersey. The research should address important educational policy issues or measurement issues that affect the efficiency or usefulness of NAEP. Studies focused on issues concerning the education of minority students are especially encouraged. The program will provide research opportunities for scholars, encourage secondary analyses of NAEP data, and increase the number of minority professionals in educational measurement and related fields. Eligibility: Applicants should hold a doctorate degree in a related discipline and provide evidence of scholarship. Period: Ten months. Timing is flexible, but will typically coincide with an academic year (September 1, 1999 through June 30, 2000). Award: The award will be commensurate with the scholar's experience and will supplement any support received from the fellow's home institution. In addition, limited relocation expenses, consistent with ETS guidelines, will be reimbursed upon presentation. How to apply: There is no formal application.
