Delmas (Gladys Krieble) Foundation--Grants for Venetian Research

Pre-doctoral and post-doctoral grants: for research in the history 
     of Venice, Italy and the former Venetian empire in its various 
     aspects, including art, architecture, archaeology, theater, 
     music, literature, economics and law; also studies related to
     contemporary Venetian society and culture. 

Eligibility: Open to U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Some
     advanced research experience necessary. Candidates must have
     completed all doctoral requirements, excluding the dissertation
     but including the acceptance of their dissertation proposal by the
     application deadline. 

Period: 2000-2001 academic year. 

Stipend: Grants range from $500 - $12,500. Funds are granted for research 
     in Venice and the Veneto only, and for transportation to, from, and 
     within the Veneto.

Deadline: December 15 (annually)
