Graduate Fellowships for Minorities: for members of underrepresented
     minority groups--American Indians, Black Americans, Mexican- 
     Americans, and Puerto Ricans--seeking Ph.D. degrees in the social 
     sciences, humanities, sciences, mathematics, and engineering. 
     40 fellowships available. 

Eligibility: Minimum requirement is a bachelor's degree. Applicants 
     who already hold a master's degree, may also apply.

Deadline: December 1 (Annually)

Period: 4 to 5 academic years, depending on the field of study.

Stipend: Full tuition plus a stipend of at least $12,000.
