Williams Andrews Clark Memorial Library--Clark Short-Term Fellowships The Center for 17th and 18th Century Studies, an organized research unit of the University of California, provides a forum for the discussion of central issues in the study of the 17th and 18th centuries, facilities research and publication, supports scholarship and encourages the creation of interdisciplinary, cross-cultural programs that advance the understanding of this important period. Stipends of $2,000 per month for periods of one to three months are available to scholars with a Ph.D. or equivalent who are engaged in advanced study and research in the areas covered by the Clark Library.
