Pulliam Fellowships: 20 awards to students committed to
     newspaper journalism as a career. Recipients spend ten 
     weeks in Indianapolis or Phoenix participating in a
     work-study program. 

Eligibility: scholarship, personal integrity, maturity and proven
     potential in reporting, writing and editing are factors in
     evaluating applicants. 

Stipend: $4,725 each year

Deadline: March 1 (annually)
