Research Grants Program

The Australian Institute of Aborginal and Torres Strait Islander
Studies (AIATSIS) is a major national funding body for research
in Australian Indigenous studies. The Research Grants Program 
funds a wide range of research in areas such as family and
community histories, anthropology, archaeology, arts, education,
health, history, linguistics and politics. 

ELigibility: Individuals and organizations may apply for research
	grants which in 1997 ranged from $2,500 to approximately
	$40,000.

Deadline: January 31, 1999
